Music in the Park kicked off its 2026 season on July 8 with a successful opening night featuring a performance by Simply Elton, a classic car show, local food options and a lively crowd enjoying an evening of high-energy entertainment in downtown Bensenville.
Summer storms delayed the start of Music in the Park this year, and those bands have been rescheduled. For the updated schedule of performers, parking information, food vendors, and other event details, visit Bensenville.gov/events and select Music in the Park.
Music in the Park is a free, family-friendly event held every Wednesday throughout the summer in downtown Bensenville. The car show begins at 6 pm, followed by live music from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Each week, the Bensenville Community Foundation hosts a 50/50 raffle benefiting a different local organization. Raffle tickets are available from volunteers throughout the crowd and at the BCF booth.
To accommodate the event, Center Street and Green Street are closed beginning at 5 p.m. each Wednesday. Car show parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis in designated village-owned parking lots near Village Hall. Participants are recommended to arrive early and are asked not to park in private business or apartment parking lots.
The event takes place on the Village Hall lawn in downtown Bensenville. Reserved seating is available for senior citizens, while all other attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to create their own seating area.
Visitors can also stop by the Center Theatre & Ice Cream Shoppe across the street for ice cream, popcorn, snacks, and refreshments.
“Music in the Park is a great example of what makes Bensenville such a strong and connected community,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “It’s wonderful to see residents and visitors come together to enjoy live music, local food, and summer fun. We look forward to another fantastic season.”
Each week features a different musical act and genre, providing a variety of entertainment throughout the summer.
