The 26th annual Bensenville Spring Ice Show celebrated America’s 250th anniversary with an inspiring showcase of skating talent, patriotism, and community spirit.
Held on June 5 at The Edge Ice Arena, family members, friends, and community supporters filled the arena to cheer on performers as they paid tribute to the nation’s history, culture, and generations of Americans through music and movement.
A longstanding Bensenville tradition, the Spring Ice Show has brought the community together for more than 26 years. This year’s production featured performances by skaters from Bensenville Skate School and the Crystal Edge Synchronized Skating Teams, whose dedication and hard work made the celebration possible. Coaches, volunteers, staff, and families also played an important role in making the event a success.
The show featured patriotic and popular American music paired with creative choreography that highlighted the nation’s enduring spirit, perseverance, and achievements. Through their performances, skaters honored the milestones and values that have shaped the United States over the past 250 years.
“The event was a tremendous success for our skating programs and a memorable way to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “The talent and dedication displayed by our skaters were outstanding, and the strong support from families and residents reflects the community spirit that makes Bensenville and The Edge Ice Arena such special places.”
Combining athletic skill, artistic expression, and teamwork, the Spring Ice Show delivered an entertaining and meaningful experience for all who attended. The event continues to highlight the opportunities available through Bensenville’s skating programs while inspiring future generations of skaters.
