Get ready for a monstrously good time as Monster Mash returns Oct. 24

Posted

The Bensenville Park District is getting into the Halloween spirit with Monster Mash, one of the district’s largest events of the year, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Varble Park and the Deer Grove Leisure Center parking lot, 1000 W. Wood St. in Bensenville. The spooktacular event is free and open to all ages.

Monster Mash is brewing up a cauldron full of Halloween fun, with a trunk-or-treat, bounce house, climbing wall, pony rides, carnival games, pumpkin patch, food and drinks and a costume contest. With so many frightfully fun activities, families can expect a fang-tastic afternoon filled with treats, thrills and plenty of Halloween memories.

Costumes are encouraged, so attendees can dress to impress, scare or simply have a boo-tiful time. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather.

“Monster Mash is one of the biggest and most anticipated events on the Bensenville Park District calendar, and it’s a great way for families to celebrate Halloween together,” said Superintendent of Recreation Anne Popek. “From trunk-or-treating and carnival games to the costume contest and pumpkin patch, there’s something for every little monster to enjoy.”

Monster Mash is made possible with support from major sponsor Grand Subaru and participating sponsors ARC Family McDonald’s Restaurants and Texas Roadhouse of Mount Prospect.

Admission is free, so there’s no need to be scared off by the price — it’s a monster-sized amount of fun for zero dollars. There is a fee for food and beverage purchases, however. For more information, visit BvilleParks.org or call the Bensenville Park District at 630-766-7015.
