Before the first farm story is told or the first craft is made, little ones will be making new friends at the Bensenville Park District's Little Lambs program at Fischer Farm.
Designed for children ages 3-5 and a parent or guardian, Little Lambs combines hands-on fun with the charm of the historic farm. Young participants will enjoy games, crafts, farm-themed stories and interactive activities while exploring the sights and sounds of one of Bensenville's favorite community treasures.
The one-hour program will be offered from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 12, and again from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Fischer Farm. The fee is $15 per child, or $10 for in-district patrons, and includes participation for one child and one adult guardian. Younger siblings riding in strollers or baby carriers may attend at no additional charge.
"Little Lambs is a wonderful opportunity for young children to discover the fun of the farm through play, creativity and storytelling," said Fischer Farm Program Supervisor Katrina Frank. "Parents and caregivers can enjoy quality time together with their little ones while making lasting memories in a welcoming farm setting."
Advance registration is required. Participants should note that the historic Fischer Farmhouse is accessible only by stairs and is not ADA or stroller accessible.
Registration is available at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood St., Bensenville. For more information about Little Lambs and other family programs, visit the Bensenville Park District or stop by the Deer Grove Leisure Center.
