Families and movie lovers are invited to enjoy warm summer evenings under the stars as the Bensenville Park District presents “Sketch” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Sunrise Park as part of its free Movies in the Park series at parks throughout the summer.
Admission to all movies is free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks for a relaxing evening outdoors with family and friends.
“Sketch” is a heartwarming family adventure centered around a young artist whose imaginative drawings unexpectedly come to life, leading to a series of magical and humorous events that help bring a community together while teaching lessons about creativity, courage and friendship.
Additional featured films include “Sarah’s Oil” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Fischer Farm and “Selena” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Krempels Park.
“We are excited to offer families an opportunity to gather outdoors and enjoy quality entertainment together this summer,” Bensenville Park District Superintendent of Recreation Anne Popek said. “Movies in the Park is a wonderful way for residents of all ages to connect with neighbors, relax and create lasting summer memories.”
The Movies in the Park series is open to all ages. Movies will begin at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the Bensenville Park District website, BvilleParks.org, and social media channels at @BvilleParks.
