Halloween Zumba promises a fang-tastic night of fitness and fun

Posted

It’s time to get those bones moving! Wood St. Fitness is inviting the community to dance the night away at its annual Halloween Zumba class from 7:15-8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Deer Grove Leisure Center, 1000 W. Wood St.

This high-energy, costume-friendly dance party is sure to put a spell on participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Led by Wood St. Fitness Zumba instructors, Halloween Zumba will transform the DGLC Exercise Room into a boo-tiful dance floor filled with music, movement and Halloween spirit. Participants can get into the spooky spirit with Halloween props, festive photo opportunities and prizes for the top three costumes. Whether dressing up as a dancing devil, a fitness witch or something completely batty, participants are encouraged to bring their best costume game.

“Forget the broomstick — this Halloween, it’s time to grab some workout shoes and get moving!” Recreation Supervisor Sawyer Shrake said. “Halloween Zumba is a great way to have a wickedly good time, burn some calories and show off your costume. It’s going to be a scream!”

The special event is not included with the Core Class Pass, so participants will need to register separately. The fee is $10 and $8 for in-district patrons, with payment due upon arrival. The class has a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 25, so those who want to join the monster mash should register early.

Registration is available at the Deer Grove Leisure Center or online at BvilleParks.org/Register using program registration code 612031-01. For more information, call the Bensenville Park District at 630-766-7015. Come ready to dance, dress to impress and have a spooktacular time — no tricks required!
